Welcome to the videos portion of our website where we’ll be hosting a variety of content from The New American Census brand. Most recently we’ve posted a series of videos constructed solely out of old archival footage. Each short film tackles a certain issue or idea about our culture and the way we live.
“The Perils of a Scuba Related Life”
The first video is a mashup of an old Navy instructional video entitled ”First Dive, Last Dive” It’s an open ended statement on our constant desire to force ourselves into new extremes fueled by advances in technology.
“The New American Census Presents: Smoking, Cigarettes.”
An homage of a collage dedicated to the most perplexing habits of the human race. Why would a species purposefully inhale smoke and tar into their lungs? What could be the motive? Where did it all begin? This video is an exploration of those questions.
Sky Diving:Defying Absurdity
If we aren’t busy hanging out beneath the ocean then there’s a good chance someone somewhere right now is jumping out of an airplane, for fun.
